I was surprised you didn't mention retirement considerations. Being
30-something myself, both my parents are in their 50s and retirement is
figuring prominently into their decisions these days. Have you analyzed
how this move will affect your retirement income?
I took a great job at a small company last year. The benefits are ok,
not great--but the salary is good. The word at the time I started was
that the company was poised for a big breakthrough.... One year later,
we're still poised. As someone mentioned earlier, when I heard growth,
I thought in months--but the reality is years. At my age and experience
level, I'm willing to settle in for the long haul. BUT--the benefits
are in the average category--not nonexistent.
