Another thought: If you create that one all-encompassing
resume in some reasonably sophisticated software (Frame
springs to mind), you could use the conditional text
feature to greatly simplify the process of creating a
custom resume... for example, include only references
tagged with a date after 1990 and only "Terse_text" style
tags. This would save a lot of manual pruning and make the
creation of resumes much faster. It would also impress the
heck out of the recruiter when they ask how well you know
Frame!

Heck, this would be a fun job in SGML... write a DTD for
each type of resume you need to create, structure the text
in a master file, and output a custom resume at the click
of a button! You could even do it with grep if you're a
UNIX type, or put the info. in a database to prove you
understand database publishing. Easy as pie! <gdr>
