I work for a very large world-wide semiconductor company and the standard
here is 7 1/2" by 9 1/4" for most design manuals, user guides, release notes...
just about everything except data sheets and application reports (8 1/2" by 11")
and something we call Product Information. However, if the customer
demands it or if the nature of the material is such that we need the extra
space, we will do their guide/manual in 8 1/2 x 11. We have templates
for both sizes.
