Look again at the advantages you listed. You have really answered your own
question in the affirmative. My personal choice would be to go ahead and
change to Win 95 or NT (which of these you select is a whole new question).
I would also suggest that you connect all the writers to your UNIX file
server through Hummingbird (which can also supply you with Xwindows for
your UNIX programs), and keep a central NFS archiving system with routine
backup. This works well for us. If you do go completely to NT, or even with
a Win 95/NT mix, there are plenty of other options for file server management.
