Hi, Amy,

Growing up, I spoke perfect Urdu [the language of my parents] but learnt only
to read and write in English. [This was in Africa; not our `native' land.] We
always referred to writing Urdu in the `English Script' as "writing it in
Roman/the Roman script". [It is rumoured that our Oxford and Harvard educated
ex-Prime Minister does the same, BTW.] Does that help?
