The IEEE Professional Communication Society (PCS) is looking for a
Student Activities Coordinator (see call below). PCS, a member society
of the Institute of Electronics & Electrical Engineers, is primarily
comprised of professional communicators, computer scientists, and
engineers. It's mission is to promote the arts and sciences of
professional communication through research, programs (i.e. conferences,

Student Activities Coordinator
Call for Volunteers
The IEEE Professional Communication Society (PCS) is currently searching
for a new Student Activities Coordinator. This person would be
responsible for maintaining relationships between the PCS Administrative
Committee (AdCom), student clubs and chapters, and Student Activities
Coordinator in other IEEE societies. This position carries no stipend and
reports directly to the Chapter Coordinator.
The PCS Student Activities Coordinator needs to be willing to work
with all student clubs and chapters and be a resource for other
colleges/universities wishing to establish student clubs or chapters.
Ideally, the PCS Student Activities Coordinator will have the following
-- Associated with a college/university with a Technical
or Professsional Communication degree program;
-- Understand the challenges facing professional communicators
in the business world;
-- Hold an IEEE/PCS Membership (full Member or above preferred);
-- Affiliated with (or willing to start) a student club/chapter
at his/her college/university.
