I think Michael's imagery is quite evocative and apt. Slag is a byproduct
of the refining process of metals. So, mining a slag heap would (should?)
be a fruitless endeavor. Good work, Michael.

I'm trying to imagine what a "slag heap" might be. It sure doesn't sound
like some place users would mine.
