Okay, since the bullet discussion is still going on, I'll throw my four cents
in:

I think white space is more important than saving 1/1 gazillionth of a tree,
and I'm a tree hugger of the highest degree.

MS Style Guide indents bullets.

My own aesthetic sensibility says indented bullets are nicer looking, and just
as easy to find as outdented.

I do agree with everyone else on here who's commented in that you should remain
consistent throughout the document on your bulleting style.
