Much as it is attractive to consider the documentation as part of the
software product, copyright law doesn't see it that way. (Come to that,
most software developers don't see it that way either ...)

Similarly, if you write several manuals in a series (say, a reference
manual, a tutorial guide, and a quick reference card), they are all
separate and have individual protection.
