If you mean a major book publisher, you should subscribe to the Computer
Book Publishers list and read the current threads about the editor's life
in that industry. To subscribe: send mail to list -at- studiob -dot- com with subject
"Subscribe." Technical pubs editors generally make more money and have
more respect than the book editors.
