Hi Robert;

In a message dated 98-07-19 17:03:37 EDT, you write:

Actually, from my experience, there are four:

DANGER (An extreme, violent or continous hazard to life)

WARNING (An operating or maintenance procedure, practice, condition,
statement, etc., which, if not strictly observed, could result in injury or
death to personnel)

CAUTION (An operating or maintenance procedure, condition, statement, etc.,
which, if not strictly observed, could result in damage to or destruction of
equipment, loss of mission effectiveness or long term health hazards to
personnel)

NOTE (of other important things)

I'm sure that there is an international standard (if only I could find it) but
I have noticed that there are variations around the world (aerospace,
military, etc.).

I would suggest doing what we always do, ie whatever you decide, make a note
at the front of the publication.
