Perhaps writers should be awarded titles based on the tonnage of documentation
they have produced and the years worked. Here's my proposed schedule.

> 0 - 5 years + 0 - 0.5 tons = Technical Writer
> 0 - 5 years + 1 - 2 tons = Senior Technical Writer
> 0 - 5 years + 2 - 5 tons = Consultant
> 0- 5 years + 5 - 10 tons = Senior Consultant
> 0 - 5 years + 10 - 20 tons = Federal Government Consultant
> 0 - 5 years + 20 - 50 tons = Insane

> 5 - 10 years + 0 - 0.5 tons = Aspiring Doorknob & User Interface Expert
> 5 - 10 years + 1 - 2 tons = SemiTechnical Writer
> 5 - 10 years + 2 - 5 tons = Technical Writer
> 5 - 10 years + 5 - 10 tons = Consultant
> 5 - 10 years + 10 - 20 tons = Senior Consultant
> 5 - 10 years + 20 - 50 tons = Insane

> 15 + years + 0 - 0.5 tons = Complete waste of human flesh & Tech Pubs Manager
> 15 + years + 1 - 2 tons = MarCom Writer
> 15 + years + 2 - 5 tons = User Manual Writer & Online Help Expert
> 15 + years + 5 - 10 tons = Senior Technical Writer
> 15 + years + 10 - 20 tons = Senior Communications Expert Consultant
> 15 = years + 20 - 50 tons = Insane Consultant

Ha ha ha, this is only a joke.
