Hi Sherri,

The problem is probably due to how Word determines the bulleted list format.
It uses a style gallery. I understand that this is stored in the
registry -- thus ensuring that you cannot guarantee how bulleted and
numbered lists will appear between documents (and even in the same document
on different machines.) Put less subtly, automatic bullets and numbers and
hideously broken in Word and you'd be far better off handling these
manually.

FWIW, I went through a similar hell about six months ago. A couple of
Usenet groups on Microsoft's public server helped. Someone even wrote a
suite of macros to create a 'corporate standard' style gallery and then
apply this every time you opened a document. However, I found it easier to
do the bullets and numbers by hand (I just recorded macros that set a
hanging indent, inserted a bullet symbol, and tabbed to the body margin.)
