We have a Technical Editor position open at Ganymede Software Inc located in
Research Triangle Park, NC.
Assignment
The editor will work closely with engineering and marketing, who are
developing high-quality software to measure network and application
performance in complex networks. The editor will also set the voice and
image of the company in printed word. In addition, the editor will do the
technical and content editing for the following textual information:
- Software product documentation: six 150-page books, with new releases
approximately every 3 months
- Marketing material: white papers, newsletters, brochures, product
packaging, press releases
- Web pages: marketing material, product support material, company
information
Skills
- Strong technical knowledge base in computer networking and software
- Mastery of your field and tools
- Modern style guidelines
- A sharp, discriminating eye and a solid voice
- High quality expectations
- Extensive familiarity and efficiency with Microsoft Word
- Plays well with others, especially those doing the writing
Experience
- At least 3 years experience editing technical prose.
