Title: Titles for Consultants?

In my company, Technical Communicators are consultants.
As a result, we present and bill ourselves to our clients as Technical Communications Consultants.
However, we fulfill one of two very different consulting roles.

  1. We serve as Information Product Developers and Usability Consultants.  In this capacity, we produce user manuals, online help, CBTs, etc. from scratch to accompany proprietary applications.

  2. We serve as Project Documentation Specialists.  In this capacity, we are responsible for contributing to/editing Functional Requirements, Specs, and other project deliverables.  We are also responsible for document management, which includes electronically filing, storing, and organizing the docs for a project so that they can be easily referenced by customers and technicians.

The problem is this.  I need to develop two very different titles for these two very different roles, so that sales and our clients can differentiate.  I thought of Information Product Developer and Project Documentation Specialist.  Are these intuitive and descriptive enough?  Does anyone have any other ideas?
