WP vs. Word

I currrently use WP as my word processing software (and occasionally for
DTP) for a number of reasons.

First, WP is nowhere near the memory hog that MS Word is. When I have
multiple programs running simultaneously, memory allocation is an issue,
even with my current 128 Mb system.

Second, for those of us who purchase our own tools, price is an issue. (At
least it is for me!) The $300 I saved buying WP Office Suite 8 (which came
with voice recognition software, btw), I spent on other needed tools.

Also, I make heavy use of CorelDRAW! for illustrations, and WP seemlessly
imports and displays these. Word frequently crashed, apparently due to a
poor implementation of OLE.

Anyway, there you have my thoughts, for what their worth.
