I need help from anyone experienced in converting Word docs to Acrobat. I'm
creating some rather large documents in Word97 that will eventually be
converted to Acrobat and placed on the company intranet and on CD.

I have a lot of Visio drawings to include in the documents. Some of them
are very large, so I'm converting them to .emf format and putting a shunken
version in the Word doc and making a hyperlink to the larger version. I'm
putting the larger image into Excel because I can't find any other program
that Word can launch in response to a hyperlink - at least the only one
that will accept very large vector images.

1. If you create hyperlinks in the Word doc to other documents, will
Acrobat retain the hyperlinks?

2. How does Acrobat handle vector images? Does it always convert them to
bitmap? I'm wondering if I should PDF the drawings before I hyperlink them
to the Word doc. I wouldn't want to do that if it means bitmapping them.

Any help or advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
