Please note that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Westinghouse
operate an interactive website to transfer technical manuals, technical
training modules, and other written materials to educational institutions,
non-profit organizations, government agencies, businesses, and individual
citizens at no cost to recipients.  This is a DOE program to ensure that
taxpayers receive maximum return on government-funded R&D.  Since 1995, we
have completed over 11,000 transfers to U.S. organizations.  The site

The site contains the following:

+ Short descriptions and samples of available materials.  Materials include
technical writing and safety manuals, a 31-module self-study training
program for managers (1,200 pages), organizational diagnostic tools, and
surveys
+ On-line form to request materials
+ Transfer terms and conditions
+ Center for downloading versions in PC MSWord  7.0a; PC WordPerfect 5.x;
Mac MSWord 5.1; Adobe PDF 3.0

A conduct of operations survey for technicians and operators is our newest
addition to the site.  To obtain these materials at no cost to you, simply
go to the site and fill out an on-line form.  We will obtain necessary
approvals and send you a password and user ID for downloading the requested
material directly from the website.  You can then use the materials for
reference, benchmarking, internal use, or even for commercial use.
