I would like to argue that Premadonna may be an accurate term if the
applicants were all born (or have a mindset stuck) before Madonna (pop
singer extraordinaire) first entered the music industry.

I, like Andrew, appreciate the groundbreaking effect that Madonna has had on
our cultural consciousness, especially as it applies to techwriting. <grin>

That would be "Prima Donna."

As listed in The First Hypertext Edition of
The Dictionary of Phrase and Fable
THE DICTIONARY OF PHRASE AND FABLE BY E. COBHAM BREWER
FROM THE NEW AND ENLARGED EDITION OF 1894

Prima Donna (Italian). A first-class lady; applied to public singers.

The spelling Diva.
