Does anyone have an example of a template used to identify and document what deliverables will be created as part of a contract? I got myself into hot water recently because I did not spell out exactly what I was going to create. I’d like to see how in-depth or formal such a document would be.
Thanks!
Sue

First Draft Estimate – x hours The first draft is distributed to client subject matter experts for review and editing.
Incorporate Edits 1 hour Incorporate final edits from review copies. Submit manual for final approval.
Create final document and PDF 1 hour QA review for consistency, pagination check, and spelling check, create PDF, verify linking, and save to CD.
Project Total - x hours Deliverables include a Word document and PDF.
$x
Note: Quoted project price is limited to the subjects outlined above and is valid for 30 days. Total project requires three days for completion, including a document review period of four hours.
And I have taken that approach in defining training scripts and if I am missing a topic or have not included a specific item it is either added by the client and then I add it to the estimate; or if it is phase two it is pushed to a future project scope.
