Problem with PDF Maker: Numbers appear in the header

When using PDF maker, numbers appear in the header in front of the chapter
title. This does not happen when using the regular Acrobat version but then
I don't have the bookmarks and hyperlinks.
My colleague suggested to look for the dingbat font and replace it with
nothing. That worked last time but this time, it does not work.
