I never, ever got ATM to work on an NT machine. So I ignored it and used
only True Type fonts. In order to get font colours and the like, I
downloaded the latest Adobe PS driver from their website, installed it, and
reconfigured my printer. Then I would print to a postscript file, configure
Distiller, embed any non-standard fonts (such as Girls Are Weird, Acidic,
etc.but not Garamond, Galliard, Verdana, Arial etc.), and worry more about
picture compression than any other setting on Distiller.

That's my process. YMMV. In fact, with the same process, we found that the
other tech writer's machine still would NOT produce colour fonts for
hyperlinks. So we did it all on my clunky, slow machine. I tried to use it
as an argument for getting a better machine but my pleas fell on deaf ears.

Good luck

Jane
