Exercise. Building upper-body strength enables you to maintain proper
posture (you *are* using proper posture, right?) and prevents you from
over-reliance on the small muscles of your arms and hands. Your doctor
should be able to recommend something, as well as stretching exercises.

Take frequent breaks. There's a screensaver program you can get to remind
you to do this, I forget what it's called though.

See if your company is willing to have a specialist come in and look at your
desk setup to see what could be causing/aggravating the problem (you're
probably not the only one, so others might benefit as well). One came to our
office and took pictures with a digital camera, then showed everyone their
problem areas; it was very useful. If need be, couch it in terms of the
money it can save them in the long run (a former employee sued for worker's
comp when his RSI was ignored).

Hope it helps,

Rebecca

What suggestions can you offer? In the meantime, I am
off scouring the building for some Advil....
