I have a terrific opportunity to design a curriculum for the technical
writing certificate program at a local university. I'm turning to the list
for advice.
This is your opportunity to help a new generation of technical writers get
up to speed! (Make some good suggestions - you may find yourself working
with these people some day...)
Firstly, what should be the core curriculum? What topics should be covered
in each of the core courses?
Secondly, what would be some great optional courses?
Thirdly, what would be a great course that even an experienced tech writer
would be happy to sign up (and pay good money) for?
(Andrew Plato made some excellent suggestions on the same topic recently,
but I'm looking for further input.)
Thanks in advance!
- Thom
