Iain Lang wonders: <<The documentation team at Leitch Technology is thinking
about entering some of their documentation in a contest. Does anyone know of
any? Any links, names of contests, requirements would
be appreciated. We are researching all contests we can find.>>

Have a look at the Society for Technical Communications' Web site
(http://www.stc-va.org/fcomp.htm) for details on their local and
international competitions, which run annually. If you're thinking about
online information, do a Web search for the "Webby Awards". Communications
Concepts Inc. (Springfield, VA) also runs an "APEX competition"; again, a
Web search should turn up details. FYI, STC's journal "Technical
Communication" has won several APEX awards.
