I do recall that Mager's behavioral instructions dictates had a rather
short life. I hope that what he offers in this book is a more practical
approach to preparing instruction.

If the course I just took in instructional design is any indication, Mager
is consistent with what is being taught today. His book Analyzing
Performance Problems was a required text in the class. I also found his
book Preparing Instructional Objectives to be very informative.
