The company that I work for is in need of a high quality portable HTML
search engine that does not rely on a server. The reason: We distribute

the documentation on a CD and we place it on our customer's SGI or UNIX
platform as well.

We are currently using a java based search engine called "Astaware's
NetResults". It has "issues" and we would love to see if there are any
other search tools out there that we should test prior to our
subscription renewal with NetResults.

In short:

* We have 7,000+ html pages that need indexing
* We distribute on CD and install a search engine on the client machine
(SGI/UNIX based)
* We need a good recommendation or solution to our searching needs....

Any help, suggestions, or advice on this would be greatly

Best Regards,
