Jim, you might consider checking what the Microsoft Manual of Style for
Technical Publications suggests. If you or product is used in an environment
where Office or other Microsoft products are used, being consistent with the
Microsoft documentation can help users quickly understand your convention
because it is familiar. I also tend to feel that since Microsoft has the
time and money to have some spend 40 hours a week working on style issues,
why should the rest of us spend any of our precious time reinventing this
wheel?
