Gen, Acrobat expands the bookmarks if there are fewer than X, total, and
collapses them if there are more than X. I don't recall the value of X; I
think it's around 40. There's no *easy* way of altering this behavior. Other
than ensuring that your docs have the minimum number of bookmarks. ;-)
