I think they should be equals and that neither one should have a tech
writing background but instead they should both be tech types and they
should swap jobs every six months or so. One should represent the
developers and one should represent the customers, because the firm's
technical staff would be significantly grown and nourished should as many of
them as possible be given the opportunity to be customer advocates.
