Leatta says, "Unemployment is a *right*?!?!?!?!I think not. *Rights* are
"the pursuit
of happiness" and other such *rights* that are mentioned in the U.S.
Constitution and in the U.S. Bill of Rights."

According to the dictionary, "right" means:

Conforming with or conformable to justice, law, or morality

Under federal law, an unemployed person has the right to file for
unemployment. Therefore, the filing is a right. Whether or not money is
granted to an applicant is a legal decision, not a right.

By the way, you mention "education" as a privilege. I don't know where you
are, but in the State of Washington, our constitution makes a basic
education (defined by the courts as K-12) a right for every citizen.
