Being territorial is one thing; being pedantic is another. For you to
"claim" the territory you want, you may need to do so under the auspices
of writing for the marketing team.

You want a future? Find out where the territory you want is located.
Sounds like at this company it's controlled by marketing. So go ahead and
carve out some territory there, even if it IS affiliated with the evil "M"
word! :)

Also, this will put some marketing experience on your resume, which can't
hurt.

Read your own posts. You love the company; you respect the VP of
Marketing. Sounds like a pretty good situation - enjoy it!
