Meg says, "Start off with a couple of years in journalism, then move to
history and
earn a BA. Top it off with a Master's in history, too."

My career path: start out as an underpaid college mathematics professor who
writes manuals for graphing calculators, reports for the state legislature,
a million newsletters for volunteer agencies, and builds web sites for fun.
Then, convince someone that because you know how to spell and differentiate
between "they're", "there", and "their", that you can write technical
manuals.

Diane Evans
BA Mathematics - computer science emphasis (which means I took 15 credits of
CompSci), with minors in psychology and traffic safety education, whose
claim to programming is self-taught BASIC and courses in FORTRAN 77 and
Modula2.
