Maybe I'm being naive. Many of us on this list work in software, and the
primary impression I get is that employers want skilled, competent
workers, regardless of age. I've found that refreshing, that the industry
seems to reward me based on what I can bring to the party.

I would think that there *might* be some age bias among software
developers, where it's common to hire the young, aggressive,
stay-up-all-night-pounding-out-code-while-jacked-on-pizza-and-diet-coke
types, but in tech writing I haven't felt that pressure, and I'm a FOG
(fat old guy).

Is my experience typical, or have I just been lucky?
