Interesting...
I had a boss once who had to edit everything I wrote. I was the engineer and
she was the VP of operations. I wrote several technical white papers, yet
she had to change every one just enough to claim "ownership".
Now I don't claim to be a technical writer yet, but some of the changes she
made were just plain inaccurate and misleading (technically speaking). When
I tried to argue the point, she insisted that I stay the technical geek, and
that she would turn mud into water. Yeah, that's why I received several
inquires for clarification after publication.
