Graphics format selection: SPEED v. SIZE

What do people use as graphic standard for Frame/Webworks environment on
PCs?

DIB allows immediate cut/paste production into Frame (copy into doc)
+ Fast production
- larger files
- can't see on Mac in production enviroment (unsupported format)

Other x-platform formats smaller but require extra production steps
(File>save as, then File>Import etc.
+ smaller files
+ can see on Mac in Frame production (png, gif, and others)
- slower production process

TechDoc manager would like to continue to paste in, but if by reference is
how you handle it, let me know your system. Library has 8,000 pages and
numerous everchanging screenshots.

I would appreciate any advice and comments on how others handle this
graphics dilemma?

Thank you,

-Michael Lessin
