I stopped using Word's thesaurus when I discovered that a lot of words that
used to be in it were removed because they had been determined to be
"offensive".

I get prickly about anything that has the faintest whiff of censorship. I
can make my own judgements about what words are appropriate to use, I don't
need my software to do that.
