To offer another, uh, final word, on cursing, I thought I'd mention my
experience coming from a Canadian office environment to Ireland. My
former job in Canada was at a start-up, and so lacked the draconian
restrictions that some list-members have described. The casual f-word
might have been bandied about among work colleagues in the office, but
generally not at meetings or with the boss around.

It's a very different story here in my Ireland office, where I don't go
an hour without hearing the f-word or something similar. It's obviously
a cultural difference--people here seem to have a far higher tolerance
level for this language. I find this refreshing, particularly when I
feel like swearing a blue streak around the office.

My two Euro cents. DB.
