In response to Gerd's post, there is a way to place tips in a document that
makes it easy for people to skip over them if there is "too much
information." Place tips in a sidebar. Use some type of border or shading to
set if off from the rest of the text so that it can stand apart from the
main procedure. Keep in mind Geoff's advice regarding placement if the tip
is critical to a particular step. If that is the case, then you'll probably
want to keep it within the flow of the procedure.
