Since I am a one-person department, I get to define my own styles. So I
normally "check" options that are checkboxes and "click" things that are
either link-type actions/options or buttons.
However, the flip side of being a one-person department is that you don't
often get to debate these little nuances that no one else in the company
cares about, so carry on ...
