You're totally missing my point (as did several other people). Those other writers don't need to know about the MES. They don't write about it.

Believe me, I know about writers who don't take an interest in their subject matter. I used to write truck manuals, and there was a writer there that the mechanics used to joke about needing to have pointed out to them what in the service bay was a truck.
