You could have skipped your first condition, because you always were able
to download fonts to PostScript printers, automatically and
transparently. We have been doing this for more than ten years and have
no problems with it.

At least today, you could also skip the second condition because you can
send PDF files to the printer with the fonts embedded.

This would leave you with a much wider selection to choose from.
