I'm working on some software that will allow cross-references in Word
documents to be searched out and converted to hyperlinks, and for the
whole kit&caboodle to be converted to PDF, including having the page numbers
of the index converted into hyperlinks, and comments converted to PDF Notes,
neither of which PDFMaker <spit!> can manage at present.

It will hopefully be available for Word 2K and Word XP a bit later this
year. I'm well advanced on the core software, I just need to get the UI
cleaned up and an intensive round of testing done. Writing Word VBA code
that will run unattended for the time necessary to do that kind of task is
*interesting*. Unfortunately it has to be fitten in around the day job
<sigh>. Bit short of round tuits just at the moment...

I might be interested in getting some sample documents off people so that I
can test it out on as wide a variety of documents as possible. If you're
interested in this and willing to supply a sample document or two, please
contact me offlist, with an email titled "Multilinker trial" and I'll make
sure I contact you when I need some documents. If you supply me with a
sample, I'll provide back a copy of the document with some hyperlinks added
and a version converted to PDF.

Regards
Jonathan West
