The prospective author and co-author would do well to look at Marcia
Yudkin's books/website about writing book proposals. I found her
nuts-&-bolts approach very helpful.

Last fall, I reviewed a book, _The Well-Fed Writer_, which was more
wide-ranging, but took a more marketing-oriented approach. That is, instead
of looking at ways to write and sell highly-technical books, he addressed a
whole range of publishing genres, in particular, sales and marketing pieces.
Sorry, but I can't pull up the author's name immediately. He also addressed
repurposing information (that is, repackaging/rewriting) for resale. Some
good advice.

Anyway, good luck!

Marguerite
