I'm doing fine (just returned from talking with one new client, and need to phone another potential one later today), but the market in general seems to have slowed here after a rather hopeful-looking April and early May.

What jobs do appear often seem to be requiring specific technical knowledge. Just knowing technical writing doesn't seem enough.

I've also heard some people say that jobs for senior writers are scarce. I haven't found that true in contracting, but, of course, as a scavenger, I'm not particular about what scraps I pick up. :-)
