$I dunno. In my experience, it's usually the IT professionals who push $for Linux (okay, I'm weird). I've even seen articles about how to $introduce Linux into the work place without the bosses knowing - seriously.
I've noticed the same thing.
The people who really tend to push Linux are highly competent IT professionals.
The less competent IT professionals seem to have their hands full trying to support Windows applications, and are unlikely to want anything that will require a little more digging.
