For the cd-only version, how about "stand-alone" or "complete?"

For the CD-and-PC - the not-quite-right and totally un-PC term of "slave"
comes to mind. The kids'll love it if the boss doesn't.

Well, how about "machine-dependent?" How about "independent" and
"dependent?"
