I was in direct mail a long time ago (not as a writer, though I got my

5% is more than a "pretty good" response rate - it's a *terrific*
response rate. I may give it your idea a try when my current gig ends...

I'm in Boston Dick - I hope I'm not too close and working your side of
the street:) Then again, if you can get a 5% response rate on direct mail
pieces, there's a world of DM agencies that would pay whatever you
