I'm currently updating a product CD which uses a lot of PDF files as basis
for HTML files. Available are the old and the new PDF files. I have to find
the changes made to the PDF files, and edit the HTML files accordingly.
Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, I have no access to the original
source files from which the PDF files where generated. And further, the PDF
and HTML files' layout differ (3 cloumns for PDF, 1 column for HTML). That
means a PDF->HTML conversion tool, such as Megellan, is of no help.
Now, I wonder whether there is a tool to compare the content of PDF files.
This would help to detect the changes made. I already considered some sort
of workaround by saving the PDF files as RTF files and then run a
comparison. However, since I talk about quite a couple of files, I wonder
whether there are other solutions you know of.
Ideas, help and suggestions are appreciated.
