Re: Cross-platform standards?
The primary problem areas I have identified are:
Communications (email, instant messaging, conferencing, etc.)
Mozilla (version 1.0 includes Chatzilla)
Documents (manuals, letters, memos, presentations, etc.)
OpenOffice (Writer for text documents, Impress for presentations)
Graphics (raster, vector, etc.)
... and, of course, any recommendations for tools.
OpenOffice (Draw) or the GIMP
All these tools are available for both Windows and Linux. All are also open source or free software.
Any other areas where you need suggestions?
